Delete your StoryHug account

You can delete your StoryHug account at any time. You do not need to give a reason, and it costs nothing.
Option 1: Delete it in the app (fastest)
- Open the StoryHug app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Option 2: Ask us by email
If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete your account for you.
Send an email to hello@storyhug.ai from the email address linked to your StoryHug account, with the subject line “Delete my StoryHug account”.
If you signed up with Apple’s Hide My Email, please tell us so we can find your account.
We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours. To protect your family, we may ask you to confirm the request from your account’s email address before we delete anything.
What gets deleted
- Your parent account: name, email address, password and sign-in details
- Your child’s profile: name or nickname, age band, language and preferences
- Emotional check-ins, listening history and favourites
- Parent Reflection Test answers and results
- Notification settings and device tokens
Your data is removed from our live systems within 30 days and from our backups within 90 days.
What we may keep
- Server security logs, which are deleted automatically after 90 days
- Any records we must keep by law, such as tax or payment records, only for as long as the law requires
Please note: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Please cancel it in your Google Play or Apple account settings.
